![]() Charles was a big, gentle man, full of love, kindness, good humour, and integrity. In 1993, he met Kathleen Hunter and they wed July 1st, 2000. In the early 1990’s he became a Justice lawyer with Correction Services Canada, from which he retired in 2009. After articling, he passed the Ontario Bar in 1984 and became a criminal defense attorney, working with McCann Bayne Sellar Bauxaul. They had two children together, Nathan and Trahern. They went on to study law at Queens University, wed on June 14th, 1980, and graduated law school in 1982. After graduating, he worked at Westmoreland Prison for Correctional Services Canada, when he met Alix Jenkins in 1978. He and his first wife, Kitty, then moved to Canada, where he would eventually graduate with a BA in Political Science from Mount Allison University. Two years later, he was drafted into the US military, where he was honourably discharged as a conscientious objector. ![]() After excelling as a multi-sport student-athlete, “Hurricane” Haskell graduated high school with honours and went on to study and wrestle at Colorado University. He grew up at the Emerald Valley Ranch on Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. He was always close with his cousins, nieces and nephews. He had three siblings, Donald Jerome(Toni), Jeri, and Laurie(Les). Charles was born in Longmont, Colorado on August 12th, 1949 to Jerome Donald Haskell and Rose Marie Major. ![]() Cherished grandfather of Logan, Benjamin and Zachary. Proud and loving father of Nathan(Marta) and Trahern(Erika), with Alix Jenkins, and loving stepfather of Carolyn and Kristen. Charles Leslie Haskell, 72, in Ottawa, ON, passed in his sleep on December 5th, 2021 at home from heart complications.
